Shady Grove Central High Fire Department stands ready — day and night — to protect the homes, families, and communities of the Checotah area with trained responders and proven prevention programs.
Shady Grove Central High Fire Department has served the Checotah community and surrounding areas for generations. Rooted in the traditions of the Chickasaw Nation, our department is made up of dedicated volunteers and career firefighters who know these roads, these families, and this land.
From structure fires and vehicle accidents to medical emergencies and natural disaster response, our team is trained and equipped to handle whatever the day brings. We operate out of our station on Highway 266, positioned to reach homes, farms, and businesses across the district quickly and safely.
But our role goes beyond emergency response. We believe prevention is just as vital as reaction — which is why we invest time in community education, fire safety inspections, and youth outreach programs that help keep Checotah safe before a call ever comes in.
